A deposit of £55 is required to reserve your place on all courses. All deposits transferable to other courses or the purchase of artwork.

These sessions are your opportunity to give yourself some quality time exercising your creative energy.

My workshops are little moments of indulgence that please the eyes and mind.

Become lost in beautiful, high quality materials and the calming process of making. I provide a relaxed and good spirited making environment for all.

'Party On - Mosaic'

Lovely, light hearted taster expereience into the fun of mosaic making.

This day session is designed for events such as children's parties, Hen’s or other special gatherings where you want your guests to have a fun and a light hearted introduction into the process of mosaic art. This day session is suitable for all abilities, as I will guide everyone through the process of mosaic art. Designs will be available for inspiration.

Session Outcome - Beautifully finished mosaic in the style of either, 4 coasters or a 6 " square mosaic with hanging fixing.

Venue - To be Booked and paid for by ‘Party’ organiser

Participants - Max 8 Age 8 + (younger will need parental support at all times)

Couples Day - Private Mosaic Sessions in Artist Studio

Bespoke one day mosaic masterclass for 2 persons.

This bespoke day or split day session, is designed to give a, one-on-one tutouring in mosaic art. Teaching you how to create a mosaic artwork, from designing through to finished artwork.

This session/s is yours to develop to suit your creative flare and abilities. Working individually or as a team to create for interior or exterior, to begin a project or make a one off artwork.

Your mosaic/s can be 2 or 3 dimentional, encorporate techniques of metal manipulation to create height and extra dimention to your mosaic, adding extra intruge and exagerated movement, if you desire.

Bringing your design idea/s will help in this introduction to mosaic art. Please contact me in advance about your creative ideas.

*This package can work well for those who want to create but might need extra support with cutting tiles due to disability or being young.

Outcome - Finished mosaic made from a choice of substrate materials and a wide choice of stained glass, glass mosaic and ceramic.

‘Taster Session - Mosaic Art GIFT SPECIAL

Introduction to the beautiful process of mosaic and learn the technique

This group session will provide a taster mosaic experience. Working from a design for inspiration and to refer too, you will explore the processes of tile arrangement, cutting methods through to finish. Designs will be available for inspiration or bring your own bold design.

Session Outcome - Beautifully finished 6" mosaic, with hanger fixing.

Venue - The Riverfront

Duration - 10 - 5pm , 6 hours (1 hour for lunch)

Design 2D mosaic - The Art of Adamento

Masterclass in designing to making, using the art of movement in mosaic

This 2 day course in mosaic art will teach you about the process of creating a design to translate into mosaic. You will explore the potential of materials, texture and the flow of mosaic’s glorious andamento, movement. Bring design ideas and any precious materials you may want to add to your artwork.

Outcome - Beautifully finished 2D mosaic made on a choice of substrate materials. Approximately 7-12” mosaic depending on detail required in design.

Contoured Mosaic 9 - Mosaic with Metal Manipulation

Masterclass in creating 3D 'contoured mosaic' with metal manipulation

This masterclass course in mosaic art will teach you about the process I use to create mosaic artworks. Creating a design that will really come alive as a countoured mosaic. This means using my techniques of metal manipulation to create height and extra dimention to your mosaic artwork, adding intruge and exagerated movement. Through lifting the mosaic off the substrate surface you will explore the potential of materials, texture and the flow of mosaic’s glorious andamento to a greater degree.

Bringing your design idea will help in this brief introduction to my style of working this mosaic process.

Contoured Mosaics in 12 - Personal Project 3D with Metal Manipulation

Masterclass in creating 3D 'contoured mosaic' with metal manipulation.

This masterclass course will teach an advanced understanding of the process behind my specialised stlye of mosaic art, using ‘contoured mosaic’. It will allow you to challenge the techniques and process of creating a design that will be elivated as a countoured mosaic. This means using my techniques of metal manipulation to create height and an added dimention to your mosaic artwork. We will examine and explore problem solving methods of construction on a varieity of substrates and surfaces that reflects your unique art style. As you explore the potential of the material, colour and texture will compliment the flow of movemtent, its andamento.

Bringing your design ideas, substrates, forms to mosaic and specialised materials with you, you will tailor this course specifically to your project.

Mosaic classes and courses

My mosaic classes and courses are designed to give insight into the beautiful landscapes of mosaic art. Allowing the process of making, strengthen creative ability in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Each class/course is carefully constructed for beginners or more experienced makers, sharing step by step methodologies and techniques. These will enable you to produce a mosaic from your chosen design, created from a combination of high quality materials - stained glass, glass and ceramic tesserae or tile.

An introduction of lead as an outline can also bring enhanced structure and contouring to your artwork. This is only accesible in the 'Countoured Mosaic' Sessions.
