Mosaic and Creative Workshops

1. Mosaic for beginners - £100 per day, per person
This 1 day workshop in mosaic art is designed to introduce you to the fascinating processes involved in making a mosaic. You will leave with knowledge and understanding of how to create, use tools and become inspired to make a mosaic at home or studio, for home or garden.
I will share with you my process of design to making, materials, knowledge of substrate surfaces and grouting and finishing techniques. I will lead you through the techniques of tool handling and purpose of each, so you can choose which technique and there after which materials are most suited to you.
My courses are very relaxed and light-hearted. Designed to bring a new process of creative expression and making into your live, for pleasure, reward and its therapeutic benefits.
Possible Location -The Sustain Theatre, Wentwood Forest situated between Newport and Chepstow NP15 1ND
Numbers - 3 minimum and 5 women maximum (Covid -19 Government guidelines apply)
Materials - Basic materials package included in price
If you have a group formed that would like to participate and have a venue available that's suitable and nearer you, then this can be arranged. Prices may vary do you extra travel expences.

2. Parent and child 2 day workshop in mosaic making - £150 Per parent, child included
A wonderful opportunity to create a mosaic together - parent and child
This 2 day mosaic workshop is designed to allow parents and child to ‘create together’ from initial design to making and finish.
Day 1 enables design, colours to be chosen and mosaic to be started.
Day 2 allows you to finish making, grout and polish.
You are invited to bring a child with you on either day or both days, this is your choice.
This unique opportunity allows for collective creativity, in making a mosaic for your home or garden.
Your child must be between 8-16 years old and able commit to the concentration required and maintain Health and Safety guidelines.

3. The Earthly Female
A fascinating opportunity to create an artwork that concentrates on the earthy aspects of being female. Join me in this inspiring environment while connecting with self, other women and the therapeutic and reviving process of making.
This 1 day creative arts and mosaic course is designed to allow time discussing, designing and making, inspired by a personal aspect of being a women.
The course is designed for anyone who wants to explore the process of assemblage within creative arts combined with mosaic art, simple or complex in nature.
You will be taught a variety of techniques in design to making, where I will lead you and support you through the processes step by step.
