This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the process of mosaic art through creating a figurative mosaic for communities to enjoy. Help asist in the making of a live sized figurative mosaic in this fully instructed learning and collaborative experience.
What, When and Where
Session 1 - Inspire and Design
1-3pm Saturday 14th September

Session 2 - The ART in Mosaic - mosaic and art activity
1.30-4pm Saturday 21st September
Venue - The Riverfront, Workshop 2

Session 3 - The Big Make - mosaic and art activity supported by BAMM members
Sunday 6th October 1.30-3.30pm

This project gives our participants voice and say what is important to them, so please bring with you photographs, objects, pottery or fabrics that help tell the story of who you are.

Louise Shenstone graduated from Sheffield with a BA (Hons.) in Fine Art and went on to receive a bursary to produce work for “The British Polaroid Show” followed by a post as Photographic Fellow at Oxford Polytechnic. She moved to Cardiff in 1985 whilst teaching part time at Falmouth School of Art. It was there that she met, and joined “The Pioneers” and began her 30 year involvement with participatory arts. Since that time Louise has produced works with communities throughout South Wales, England and the United States in partnership with Adrian Butler and as Head of Visual Arts for Artis Community. Louise currently works as a free-lance artist, producer and arts manager and is a Creative Agent for 2 primaries in Rhondda Cynon Taf as part of the Arts Council of Wales Lead Creative Schools scheme.
