Some words from the Lead Artist - Maureen O'Kane

Beautifully traditional, international mosaic artist

I am a professional public artist specialising in site-specific public art works in a variety of media, mainly mosaic, for interior and exterior locations including schools, hospitals, woodlands and urban environments. My work ranges from small scale commissions and bronze art medals to large scale public art works, school projects and and environmental improvement schemes.

I have a BA in Fine Art Sculpture from Wolverhampton University and an MA in Public Art, Theory and Practice from Chelsea College of Art, London and I am a qualified teacher of art and design. My studio is in Cardiff and I work all over the UK. Alongside my own practice I run mosaic workshops and courses for all ages, as well as inset training for teachers.
